If everyone in the world consumed as many natural resources as the average person in the UK we’d need three planets to support us. If we all lived the average American lifestyle, we’d need five planets to support us.

But a sustainable future is not just some distant aspiration. Around the world it is becoming a reality as forward-thinking individuals, businesses and government organisations change the way the live and work to meet the challenges of resource depletion and climate change.

What is One Planet Vision?

One Planet Vision is a website dedicated to showcasing the inspiring projects around the world that are using the One Planet Living framework to demonstrate how a sustainable future is attractive, affordable and happening right now.

Across the world individuals, businesses and government organisations are using the One Planet Living framework to help them live and work within a fair share of the earth’s resources. On these pages you can find out what they are doing and get the information and tools to inspire and assist you to do the same.

Celebrating sustinable solutions

Some of the featured projects are international examples of best practice, part of BioRegional’s One Planet initiative, while many others others are simply using our free One Planet Action Plan tools to develop their own solutions and achieve sustainability in their own way.
